Important Days

World Youth Skills Day 2025, observed on 15 July, marks the 10th anniversary of the UN-designated day. This year’s theme—‘Youth Empowerment through Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Skills’—highlights the urgent need to equip young people with future-ready competencies for employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.

      - Established by a UN General Assembly resolution in November 2014, World Youth Skills Day was first observed on 15 July 2015. Since then, it serves as a platform for governments, educators, industry, and youth to bridge the global skills gap.

      - The 2025 theme underscores the integration of AI and digital skills into Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) systems. These skills range from basic digital literacy to advanced data science, coding, VR/AR, and cybersecurity—key to fostering inclusive, tech-driven growth.
