JMM leader Champai Soren was sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Jharkhand. Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office at the Raj Bhavan in Ranchi. He succeeded Hemant Soren, who resigned following his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
