The Karnataka government has launched the "Yuva Nidhi" scheme in Shivamogga. Under this scheme, the government provides a monthly unemployment allowance of Rs 3,000 to graduates and Rs 1,500 to diploma holders who passed out in the academic year 2023-24 and have remained unemployed for six months.
