The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) hosted the first meeting of the Inland Waterways Development Council (IWDC) in Kolkata, chaired by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. The council launched the "Harit Nauka" guidelines to promote the transition to green vessels for passenger and cargo transport.
