Dr. Jitendra Singh Delivers Keynote at IIPA's 71st Foundation Day & Launches 'Antyodaya Se Sarvodaya' Book.

In March 2025, Union Minister of State (MoS) (Independent Charge, IC) Dr. Jitendra Singh, Ministry of Science & Technology (MoS&T), delivered the keynote address at the Dr. Rajendra Prasad Annual Memorial Lecture during the 71st Foundation Day of the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) in New Delhi (Delhi).
- The address, titled "Antyodaya Se Sarvodaya," emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring inclusive governance, uplifting the most disadvantaged sections of society in the true spirit of Antyodaya.
- IIPA and the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), New Delhi (Delhi), signed an agreement to enhance disaster resilience.
- Union Minister Jitendra Singh also launched the book 'Antyodaya Se Sarvodaya: A Framework of Universal Fulfilment.'
Main Point :- (i) Dr. Jitendra Singh emphasized the democratization of civil services with increased female representation, particularly in STEM fields. Governance reforms include facial recognition for pension verification, eliminating physical bank visits, and process simplifications like a single pension form, a centralized education application portal, and the removal of 1,600 outdated rules.
(ii) The government has introduced multilingual recruitment exams in 13 regional languages, with plans to expand to all 22 scheduled languages, and abolished interviews for certain posts to ensure fair recruitment. Rozgar Melas continue to create employment opportunities and uplift youth aspirations.
(iii) India has achieved major strides in science and technology, ranking 4th globally in patent filings, with 56% from resident Indians. As of December 2024, nearly 5,400 Indian scientists are among the top 2% best researchers worldwide.
