The 3rd Universal Acceptance Day (UA Day) 2025 was celebrated in New Delhi on March 28, 2025. The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity), organized a hybrid event at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi.
- The theme of the event, "Connecting the Unconnected - Building a Multilingual Internet for Viksit Bharat," focused on promoting Universal Acceptance (UA) and fostering a more inclusive digital ecosystem in India.
- The event featured discussions on UA’s socio-economic impact, its benefits for businesses, and its crucial role in shaping effective public policy. The importance of a multilingual internet was emphasized, highlighting UA’s role in ensuring seamless access to digital services for all.
- The 'Bhashini Portal', highlighted during Universal Acceptance Day 2025, promotes linguistic inclusivity by enabling real-time translation across Indian languages, making digital content accessible to non-English speakers. Launched in Gandhinagar in August 2022, Bhashini, developed under Meity's National Language Translation Mission, stands for "Bhasha Interface for India."
